A strong sense of work was instilled in me by my family—not through pressure or praise, but by witnessing their quiet commitment to doing what needed to be done, no matter the circumstances. That example left a lasting mark on me.

When I try to put my artwork into words, I often find that the more I explain, the less it seems to capture. I'm not driven to write—I’m driven to build, to shape, and to communicate through form and space.

One word, though, always rises to the surface: work. It’s a small word, but it carries a lot. It speaks to the physical nature of what I do, the mindset behind it, and the way I relate to the world. My sculptures and I share that foundation—we’re both built from the ground up, with a lot of intention and resolve.
